The illustrious coat of arms of the city of Vimmerby 
Most other cities have mighty eagles or roaring lions on their coats of arms. We have a cute little squirrel sitting in an oaktree. We think it's kind of neat. The "C IX" stands for Carl the 9th, a king back in the late 16th century who gave us our city rights back after they had been taken away about half a century earlier by his wicked father, king Gustav Wasa.
