Lapland
Lapland is situated in the north of Sweden. There are beautiful landscapes and a lot of animals worth seeing. The reindeer live in Lapland, and they have horns like the roedeer. But the reindeer have a different kind of fur and different horns and they eat lichens. The Laplander owns the reindeers and they usually mark them by cutting their ears. They mark them to know which reindeers they own. They drive the reindeers into the field. When they have driven the reindeers into the field, they throw the lassos for catching them. They only catch the calves, to mark them. You need experience to know which reindeer that need to be marked. The Laplander early learns to be with reindeer. Lapland is very nice because there is almost always snow. And you need to have snowmobiles. The air is very clean in Lapland, which makes you full of energy.
Why I want to go to Lapland.

I want to Lapland because I like the landscape. I like snow and that is a good reason to live in Lapland. Most of my relatives live in Lapland. I’m planning to move to Lapland, It is in my blood.

Snowmobiles
Snowmobiles are the life for me, and I will buy a snowmobile when I have the money. When you have a snowmobile you can drive where you want to. When I’m in Lapland I must borrow a snowmobile from my uncle. It’s an Ockelbo Fighter. It is a workmachine, The Ockelbo doesn’t go so fast, about 110 km/h. But that is very fast on Snow. You can’t compare a car with a snowmobile. My dream is to have a new Lynx ( a very fast snowmobile ) If You have a lynx you can drive and play in the wood. A new Lynx can cost about 100 000kr and that is very much money.
How I get up to Lapland.
I usually take the train. To start I take the car to Vimmerby. After that I get on the train for Stockholm. When I have arrived in Stockholm I can go into the city and do a little bit of shopping. After that I go back on the train, and I don’t get off until Bastuträsk. Finally I have to take a taxi to Malå and so I’ve come to where I wanted to be.
